Converting the C300.mfx to Sony XDCAM-422.mfx was “no recompression” conversion. The XDCAM422 converted file showed identical time as the stock C300 file. Canon codec is simply a licensed xdcam codec with the rights to put their own label on it.
For the file that was uploaded, with no effects, here are my results:

You know if you want to create 15 sec test project, I will post some render times from my system.
Use a 15 camera start stop clip, and apply the project settings, and plugins you use.
Screen shot your project settings, and render as profile.
Then upload project file and assets to gdrive.
Our systems are close in specs, but mine stable and GPU enabled, and Vegas 13.

https://vimeo.com/116869816You need a modern Canon EOS lens and not some Canon Lens from 10-20 years ago. The videos above does a good job explaining the auto focus limitations. You can assign button to quickly toggle auto focus lock. I do not think the Mark 1 does facial recognition, like the Mark 2 does. There is a big difference between DSLR continuous auto focus and C Series auto focus.
The zero noise native ISO at 850 allows the user to push the ISO higher with acceptable grain, or stop down to a 4 in interior conditions.

What is the model of your laptop or desktop PC? Do you know what GPU you have? What version of windows? Make sure GPU is disabled in Vegas Preferences. I tried to enable GPU on a really old laptop that did not support the openCL requirements and got a similar sounding result. But I had to go under the hood to make that happen, so its hard to really tell what you are experiencing.

Tungsten may look old school and heat can be an issue if lamp is to close to the subject. Tungsten will give you the best CRI over LED or fluorescent.
A 2K solorspot with full CTB will yield about 650W in daylight, and will provide a nice fill in sunlight or pop in shade.
“Heat Shield” gel can reduce the heat issue on subjects and prolong the CTB.
Most people cheap out on LED sources and then complain about green casts, poor color matching with other sources.

Are the lenses designed for the same sensor size? You might be seeing crop factor built into a cheaper lens to avoid poor optics issues.

I would look into a Canon C100 with a C100 Canon lens. The 850 native ISO, and facial recognition focus will be a be help with weddings. Plus you have pro XLR interfaces for any PA or pro audio gear. DSLRs have tiny screens and you will miss shots that you think are in focus, and auto focus with DSLRs during video recording is noisy and sucks.

Converting your footage to Prores in FCP is a good idea from a workflow stand point.
Sound sync is matter of preference really, I would sync 1st, that way you will have clean sound under each camera angle.
Research “magic lantern” for both canon cameras, as this will give you video functions that will improve the video. Make sure to be using SD cards that are fast enough to continuously write video at the desired bit rates. Cheap cards will not keep up, and the camera will just stop recording, sometimes seemingly randomly.
Canons generally have a native iso of 320 or 640.
Running an audio cable from recorder to each camera can help puraleys work better.

When I have used that plugin, you have to apply the effect as a media effect, then render the result inside the plugin.
You may try and apply the stabilization and render to the clip to new media file from another instance of vegas. Then use that stabilized clip. This keeps vegas from stabilizing clips from long media.
