These rigs keep the bounce stable in light breezes. These also come in Mirror, which work great with diffusion frames to spread the beam of light. 4×4 reflectors are going to be one of the cheapest rentals a lighting house has.

Is this noise seen on a monitor directly from the Camera hdmi port, or in the recorded files?
You maybe seeing compression noise, which is often more visible in dark gradients/areas than light.

Video file are broken down into in the following:
Container – .MOV, .AVI, .MXF, .MP4 – The container has rules about the format of the data that can be put into it. The container can hold a single video stream and 2 channel audio or multiples of both.
Video COmpressor DECcompressor – h.264, Prores, DNxHR, ect
Compression comes in different forms like Intra Frame and Group of Pictures. Bitrate specifies how much information is thrown away, or used to record frame info.
Intra frame is the most like film where the frames are compressed individually, Uncompressed, Prores, DNxHR, XAVC-I, Cineform, AVC-Intra work like this.
Group of pictures looks at series of frames and records the difference between frames, MPEG-2(DVD), XDCAM, AVC/h.264 works like this for example.
Audio is encoded along with the Video stream in a format that is specified by the container. Audio can be encoded compressed like MP3, AAC, AC-3(multi-channel mp3) or uncompressed (PCM). .AVI means AV interleave which describes how the Audio and Video are written inside the file.
For animation work, you would want to render your animations aligning to the video frame rate standards of your delivery format. Normally this would be 23.97, 29.97, 59.94(60P or 60i) and almost never even rates like 24, 30, or 60. You need to know the specs your delivery format before you render.
Resolution standards like 4k are not supported by all codecs. Animation renders should conform to resolution standards of the video delivery codec.
Animations are often delivered as image sequences in .EXR, .PNG, or .TIF. Formats like .EXR support layers+alpha like photoshop files. .PNG supports alpha-channel, so that animation layers can be later controlled in the compositing and editing stages. Most editing software will import image sequences and treat them like video files. This maintains the animation quality, and allows for individual frame change without rendering a whole new complete sequence file.

Magix should push a small build update to Vegas 13 asap, just to change the references to Sony, install folders, and any URLs that link to Sony.

This could mean more native support of .MOV/Prores, and .mxf/Avid. It is in an NLEs best interest to support as many formats as possible, but each codec supported does represent a licensing deal and development.
Hopefully Magix will update the engine to support 8K, multiple GPUs, HEVC/h.265, and direct export of MPEG-DASH.
I wonder what will happened with the Sony Codec support like HDCAM, XAVC, and XDCAM? Do those just go with Vegas at the sale, probably not.
It will be interesting to see how things shake out.

You can post a “Speccy” info file, or list the details from speccy. Mainly interested in the Motherboard make and chipset, as well as the memory details.
Here is an order of things I would look at:
Memory – Check that the installed memory is optimized for your chipset.
Running with 2 larger DIMMs with higher speed is better than fully populated, fully populated you lose the dual channel benefits normally.
Memory Frequency/Speed is important and can mean several more GB/s between the CPU and Memory controller. Use a tool like Speccy to determine the Motherboard chipset, then compare installed memory rating what is optimal for the chipset. “WinSAT mem” from the command line will give you a performance test to judge improvements.
Memory amount should be 16GB+ to allow windows cache to operate well. You will see Vegas not using much memory, but the system cache will be huge. It is always faster to pull from the 10GB/s+ RAM memory, than from .2-.5GB/s storage systems.
GPU – Old Gen1 i7 is PCIe 2.0 and not 3 so make sure your GPU slot is operating at peak interface speeds. A tool like GPU-Z will show you the interface speed of the GPU. Older Gen1-i7 boards would sometimes put the USB3 chip in competition with the GPU slot. Just make sure the GPU interfaces at 16x PCIe 2.0
GPU upgrade – you may need to hit Ebay for an optimized upgrade. The AMD 270X would be a good starting point, and stick with X series cards due to the amount of compute units those cards have over non X. GFLOP performance is the performance stat you want to optimize for the OpenCL aspects in Vegas. This is also closely tied to the System Memory speed, CPU, and PCIe interface speed, as you need to move large data quickly between the system and GPU.
Here is a list of good AMD models in order of Single Precision GFLOPs:

R9-390x — 5913
R9-FuryX — 8600At some point the core system will not keep up with the GPU, and so you will not see the GPU being used much. This is because the CPU has OpenCL compute devices, and they are all added into the mix. It is sort of like a fast kid and slow kid working math problems. At some point the fast kid will sitting and waiting for the next problem. This will look like the GPU is not doing much of the work.
Storage interfacing – USB 3 in fine, but there is more bandwidth, less system overhead, and lower latency with SATA drives with a fair amount of cache.
