Well, it’s been happening with several different projects i’ve been importing to, (so it’s not one specific tape) including pure animations i’m creating in AFX.

I am using FW 400 because i only have a 4 to 6 pin cable, running from the deck. I do have to remove my drives (which are connected 800) because my laptop has serious trouble recognizing a device when everything else is running. It’s tedious, but my internal seems to be handling it so far.

I tried compressor last night and the problem seemed to disappear. (I outputted as an mpg4) I’m concerned my copy of sorenson is corrupted.

The video format is miniDV. In final cut I am capturing with 48 khz anamorphic (it was shot 16×9. I am using version 6.0.1, I’m working off macbook pro. I believe I captured at 720×486 CCIR 601.

What’s interesting is that i use all the normal settings in Media100 as well and I get the same results.

The only other thing I can think of is that I am capturing with a miniDV cam and something is corrupted in the transfer. I am having issues sharing ports, so I have to capture straight to the internal and then plug in the external hard drives to transfer.

    I hope that helps!

    -Thanks
