    oh my bad,
seem as thought i had my quicktime exports settings to export with markers and there were none in the movies i was sending to compressor.

seems like alot of people and sending refs out of fcp and importing into compressor so they can still work on fcp at the same time as compressor batches. is this sketchy at all?

I’ve been having problems with exporting from compressor too…

first it was crashing when files were send from FCP to Compressor (haven’t had that problem since i’ve been rendering them before sending to Compressor). But now i’ll sent a movie to Compressor and it’ll compress fine but there will be an error message in the log “msg=”Postprocessing service request error: error: Failed to add markers to movie: -2014″>”

and a the file has a “-1” and the end of the file extension like “movie.mov-1”

the last file i experienced with this didn’t even have markers (besides in point and outs)
and i did it even with ins and out and it still gave me the same error.

    any ideas?

    Mac Pro 2.66

    FCP 6.0.1
    Compressor 3.0.1

Same problem, somewhat intermittent, works sometimes, crashes on others.

Exporting a sequence from fcp with ins & out seemed to crash FCP.
But i just did one where i put ins & out and selected all the clips inbetween my ins and out hit apple+r (render) and it looks like its working now fine.

    Running
    Mac Pro 2.66
    3 GB Ram
    Compressor 3.0.1
    FCP 6.0.1

and editing HD and SD in an SD timeline.
