Graeme, sorry to ressurect this post but I’ve had no luck anywhere else with an answer to this. So, you’re saying that I should edit 25p on a normal 50i timeline, and when I render, just render out as 50i as well?
My concern is that somewhere in the process of capture, edit, render, FCP will do some deinterlacing of my footage, which, is already deinterlaced 😉

I recently got a PAL DVX100b (About a week or so ago) and one of the features that really got me interested was the fact that the B model has Underscanning EVF and LCD. So no nasty surprises with lights in frame, vignetting, or other things like that. Very nice feature.
Also, it can sync timecode with other B models which could be handy for events or multicam interviews.
