  • The project has been updated several times I’m sure, as new versions have come out. I just tried creating a new project and copying the master clips and sequences over but the behavior was still the same.

The only thing I’ve found so far that fixes it is to actually drag the media files from the finder into the browser. That’s not a full fix though, because even if I do that, the sequence clips will still be associated with the old master clips, not the new ones.

  • No, this would have been back around 2002 or so. Version 4 or 4.5 maybe? Maybe even 3.

  • It was brought in straight as DV footage. DV/DVCPro NTSC.

  • Ok, this is very strange. I did some more messing around and it seems to only be affecting one project. This is SD footage shot years ago and captured with an SD video camera (can’t remember more details, it was a while ago). Other projects I have, both SD and HD are not exhibiting this problem. It’s not a huge deal since now I know it’s isolated, but it’s still very strange.

Ok, one more thing now. In the affected project, if I choose a clip, reveal in finder, and drag said clip into the browser again, it works properly. Could the master clips have become corrupted somehow?
