This is a known problem with the new HP media center systems. The problem is a faulty audio card. From what I am told, HP is working on it. But, in the meantime I would reccomend getting a cheap sound card and then dealing with HP at a later date, when they do fix the issue.

Put it on the timeline of ppro 2.0 for a duration of 5 sec. Add a scale keyframe to the in point for a value of 30, add a scale keyframe to the out point for a value of 10. Try to render. Now I hope you like coffee very much. What is strange is that if the value of the scaling remains over 50 %, there is no rendering problem.”Billy,

In the many months I have used Premiere Pro 2, I have NEVER once experienced a system crash and that includes in the beta cycles. When I say NOT ONCE, I mean it. I would reccomend you run a deep analysis on your system to find out what is causing the crashes.

What are you using the Edit Original command for? When you created the file from another application, did you embed the ‘edit original’ info?

Again, very few people have faced this problem and the error went away, with the media encoder updates.

And, they shouldn’t be either. Adobe and Canopus are 2 separate companies with apparently different goals. When did Adobe state that the Canopus Storm was 100% functional with Premiere Pro 2?

Canopus dropped the ball on Premiere a while ago. And a company that just drops the ball on a $5000 piece of hardware looses all my business (referring to the Canopus RexRT professional)

Thanks for the link. Never heard of them before. But, IMO you would be better off going with the total training products. Best bang for the buck!

Incorrect. The green image bug was fixed in this release.

Premiere Pro 2.0 takes an extremely long time to render stills. I can confirm it and so can many others. You are not the only one.

The first question you should ask yourself is the reason you are considering the “switch”. Does Premiere Pro not do what you want it to do? If that is the case, then find a product that will match your needs.

The integration between Adobe products is perhaps superior than any other editing suite offered. With the creative suite, you get AE, Illustrator, Photoshop and a variety of other tools. I am sure you will require Photoshop at one point or another. Same thing with AE. The production studio allows you to create everything (motion graphics, DVDs, audio enhancement tools), which will not be possible with Avid Liquid Pro, because it is primarily an NLE.

Do you have the pro version of AE 6.5? If so, install the Cycore plugins and use one of the light ray filters.
