There is a good chance (93%) that it will play. If you want to be 95% certain, burn it as PAL (and for the other 4%, use GOOD media)

Your system, unfortuntely, falls under specs at this time. I would reccomend nothing less than 2gbs and maybe, it’s time to upgrade that processor as well…

You can create a new preset, with those specific dimensions. Click on the custom stab, when selecting ‘new project’ on the launch screen.

Also, try updating your media encoder. THere is a patch available on MainConcept’s site.

You were clear. Maybe, I confused myself 🙂 Anyway, my point was, why do you need a Mac notebook? The Video Collection works fine on the Mac, provided you have Bootcamp. But, what are you going to do with the other “half” of your computer which has the Mac OS? Isn’t that going to be a waste?I have a core-duo Intel laptop (Windows) and it works great. AE, Premiere Pro, Encore DVD, Photoshop and the the whole package works great. One of our forum leaders did a review of the Dell Precision M90, if you are interested on reading on that…

Is there a reason you want a Mac portable? Other than AE, Photoshop and Illustrator, none of the other programs work on the Mac. Also, as of this point, since Apple moved to the newer chips, Photoshop, Illustrator and AE won’t work either (atleast, not very well).

Well, you could try importing the footage into the project and see what the results look like. However, Premiere Pro 1.5 has an issue with handling 24p files. Check out the Adobe forums for what exactly the issue is.

I prefer the Pioneer burners. I have one Pioneer, that I got a couple of years ago and it still is a work horse. I did get a Sony burner a while back from a local store. But, it was extremely picky with the media. However, that may have changed now.

Yes, you should be able to do that. However, do that only if time is very important. Usually, lower burn speeds produce higher quality results.
