In this tutorial, we breakdown how to edit the force grab effect in Final Cut Pro 10.
This beginner effect emulates the force power visual effect used by characters such as Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, and Kylo Ren from the Star Wars films.
This effect does not require any plugins or a green screen. It just uses built-in Final Cut effects such as simple transform and keyframes. It can be achieved with an only an iPhone and a computer with FCP. The same steps apply if editing on Premiere Pro. This VFX effect can be used when filmmaking and be included as a fun gag in your own films! You can also take up a step and make it cinematic by adding sound effects.
