I get my inspiration from watching movies, but mostly from watching TV series, from how they set up the shots to tell the story, how they light, edit, etc.

As someone who creates images for a living, my eyes and brains don’t work like a regular person watching a story being told on television, theatre, or on your phone. I notice so much about the technical aspect of the movie, that sometimes I have a hard time following the story. If you’re in this field of work, you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about.

I want to prove to you that in 2021 you can recreate very similar cinematic outcomes from your favorite movies and TV series without cinema gear and the whole cinema crew that goes with it.

In this video I’m going to go through some of the steps on how I attempted to recreate this teaser trailer.
