Blend Morph Images in After Effects

How to blend / morph shapes from one to another in After Effects

In this quick video, I talk you through the simple steps needed to morph a square into a circle using a simple technique which works for any shape or mask path.  I start using shapes on a Shape Layer, but everything works for Masks too.  Then I go on to show how to use Auto Trace to generate a mask from an image – allowing you to create a blend between logos, text or anything.

While the technique is simple, sometimes animating between paths can not produce the result you’re after, so I also show two different way to improve your animation, helping you get the result you were hoping for.
