Fractal Noise Gradient in Adobe After Effects
To make a gradient with fractal noise, we start with a new solid and add the fractal noise effect. We want to make this look smooth for a gradient. To do that, we can increase contrast and decrease complexity. In addition, we can scale it up. To continue our smooth look, let’s add a blur such as Fast Box Blur. Adjust all settings to your liking.
Now to get some color for our gradient, we can apply the Colorama effect. There may be some presets that work, or you can manually adjust the colors.
Once you’re satisfied, you can add movement to the gradient background by setting Evolution keyframes, or adding an expression such as time multiplied by a value.
