Zooming/Panning still images
Hi, everyone. I’m a complete newbie with video editing software and to video editing in general, so please excuse me if this is a question with an obvious answer.
I’ve had Vegas Studio HD Platinum 11 for a few days now, and I’ve mostly been able to figure stuff out, but I’ve come up against something that’s stymying me. It seems like it should be simple, but I haven’t been able to work through it.
Here’s the deal: I’m making a short video consisting of a series of still images against a soundtrack that I’ve composed. What I want to do is show only the top half of the image, then at a certain point, pan down to the lower half.
I’m assuming I use the cropping tool to show the various parts of the image, but can’t quite figure out how to automate the panning between the two views. Possibly I just don’t know what this effect is called so I don’t know what to look up in the help.
Any help will be appreciated.
