Zooming the timeline
It’s great and works really well, except it also sucks.
When I zoom in, how come it doesn’t by default center on the playead? Is there any way to make this happen?
It is so annoying to zoom in,and have what I’m trying to zoom into suddenly fly off the screen unless I keep stopping and recentering the play head, and then doing it again and again.
Any thoughts?

Zoom defaults to zooming into the selected object or area. If nothing is selected zooming will be into the playhead. Press Cmd-Shift-A to deselect all before you zoom in. Or depending on the version you’re using, which you didn’t mention, there is a keyboard shortcut that can be activated to zoom into the playhead regardless of selection.

The shortcut is not switched on. As I said it has to be activated. Go to Keyboard layouts and search for zoom.
