zooming into imported photos and file formating
Hello,
I have two questions to ask about importing photos into Final Cut Pro. I have an 8X10 photo that was scanned at 8348 X 11757 (it’s 294 MB). Is this a large enough resolution if I zoomed into a 2-inch area of the photo without effecting the integrity of it? I have heard suggestions elsewhere that such an image should scanned at several multiples of the horizontal dimensions, at least 4000 pixels horizontally, in order to achieve this effect. If that’s the case, then what dpi do I scan the photos at?
Secondly, the photos that were scanned are jpegs, would this work for video (SD)?
Any suggestions someone could offer? Thanks in advance.
