    Hi there,

I’m about to start cutting a programme for broadcast. The director wants to shoot on the Arri and there maybe some need to zoom in on shots whilst in the edit. The output for broadcast will be at 1920×1080 so is there any use in shooting at 2k and then offline editing at 2k so we have room to zoom in on shots, but then outputting the final programme at 1920×1080?

If we were to just shoot/offline and output at 1080 what kind of zoom capacity would I have? I’m probably cutting this on FCP 7, perhaps Premiere and the grade will most likely be done in colour of maybe a da vinci.

    Many thanks,
    Michael Freedman.
