Zooming in on 3.2K (3200×1800) footage in 1080p timeline
Hello,
I am currently working on a project with interviews shot in 3.2K (3200×1800), and it is being cut in a 1080p timeline.
In general, how far can you zoom in on this footage before there is noticeable quality loss?

As long as the footage is in with the native frame dimensions, and you use Frame Flex… 1800 divided by two is 900…so not QUITE 50%…I’d say 60% or so. No, this isn’t zooming in 160%…Frame Flex works backwards in that respect…you reduce the number, not increase it.
But you can also judge on an external monitor.
