When I copy/paste an object from Illustrator or even import it as an Illustrator file and then turn it into vector shapes then I zoom in on it it gets very pixelated, while in Illustrator it maintain its sharpness no matter what.

Zooming the viewer only scales up the view of the comp. So, for example, at 1920×1080 that 800x zoom is not pixel per pixel crisp. Also no one is viewing stuff at 800x zoom.

    Thanks for your reply.
But, why can’t After Effects have the same behaviour as Illustrato as seen in the image above?

Because you’re not zooming the vector information. You’re zooming into the rasterized comp view.

Illustrator is a vector design app.
The app will refresh the lines smoothly at all times (well as best it can).
