December 10, 2006 at 12:33 pmthank you. How do you select an area in the timeline as opposed to having to select the various clips? In other words, say you only want to select five seconds of something and zoom in on it regardless of what clips are on what track and where they begin or end?

December 10, 2006 at 2:28 pmYou mark In and Out points, but FCP doesn’t zoom into a select area. It only zooms into selected items or the playhead.
All the best,

Click and drag the area you want to select.
It is also located under the second tool button.
