zoom -pan
Posted by Roger Bansemer on June 27, 2012 at 3:00 pmWhen using zoom – pam, is there a way to have that effect travel in a curve instead of straight besides making a whole lot of keyframes?

Change the keyframe interpolation “Smoothness” to 100% for all your pan/crop keyframes, and you’ll get a fairly smooth curve between points instead of the standard straight line movement. I’f you already have keyframes, you might need to change them individually.
It’s not quite the same as bezier curve paths and the like, and you need to tweak and preview to get the motion right, but at least it’s better than straight line movement.
If you want all your keyframes like this, you can set the “internal preferences” values for “Track Motion Default Smoothness” and “Pan/Crop Default Smoothness”.
