Zoom out smash effect
Hi, guys!
I was looking at the Movie Maker title effects and I’d really like to know if there’s any way I can put a zoom out effect on a text in AE, similar to the one in Movie Maker. I would also like it to look like it’s smashed against a wall at a fast speed (I don’t want the actual wall effect, I just want it to stop zooming suddenly like it would’ve hit a hall).

Yes, that would be very simple to do. Sounds like you are very new to AE, so I would strongly suggest you check out Getting started with After Effects (CS4, CS5, CS5.5, CS6, & CC). Point #4 links to 2 very good programs for getting started out, if you want to jump right in, check out Andrew Kramer’s tutorials, for a fuller more detailed program Andrew Devis.

Thank you very much! I watched a couple of tutorials from Andrew Kramer and I already learnt a lot! Still haven’t managed to properly do what I want to, but I’m definitely getting there.

I would like to do something more simple as the letters should be zoomed from center and there’s no need to spin them. Also, in this video, the letters sort of hit each other, I would want them to hit the center of the composition, like an ‘invisible wall’.
This is what I have found right now, maybe I can find a better example later.

To me the big differeance is that the logo shakes and not the camera. Is that what you are after?
