Am I right in saying that you can only physically zoom out to a finite amount of your workspace? I have a 3D comp with a lot of layers going back in Z-depth. I also have a 3Dstroke line that goes in and out of these layers. Problem is my Mask for my 3Dstroke is not long enough. When I zoom out on my comp window I can only go so far, thus my mask line for the 3Dstroke can only stretch so long. Once I drag the whole mask line past the workspace limit, the mask gets squished as if there is an invisible fence there. Can anybody help? Does what I am saying make sense?

    Thanks,

    Jonathan

I think that limitation was lifted in AE 6.5?

Well I am using 6.5 and if press the comma key one too many times, my workspace stops from zooming out and I can’t use the hand tool to move around anymore either. I wish you were right, maybe there is a preference that needs to be checked. I don’t know.

Ah. Yes, there is a limit to the magnification. Can you create a custom 3D view and drag the view’s camera position way out?
