Zoom h4n menu button broken
Hi everyone,
I’m a freelance videographer using a DSLR and recorder setup. On my last shoot, my Zoom h4n took a tumble and since then the menu button has not worked. The button no longer has any resistance and doesn’t stick out. I took it apart to see if I could figure it out but the button is under a circuit board, so I wasn’t too keen on messing around under there. I did see that the lever arm that works it seemed to be loose, as if the spring that pushes it back out was gone.
I’ve called around to local camera and audio stores but no one seems wiling to give fixing it a go. Any insights? It still works in its current settings but it would be nice to access the menu when I need it.

Time to get a new unit….. Companies don’t offer backup support for cheap recorders.
