I think the zoom control is a little dicey. Mostly on the zooming out from telephoto. If backed off a few mm it seems a little better. I bought a VZ-DVR130, remote zoom control ($230. from B&H) thinking it might help. Didn’t. My Sony VX-2000 zoom control (rocker) was much better–I could really do a very nice creep out. So far I think this is the weakest point of the camera. Maybe mine is a little out of the ordinary. Anyone else have any complaints (or commments) with the zoom control?

    thanks

I use a Stealth DVX from VariZoom and it gives me all the control I need.
