Will zipping a video file effect the quality of it after it is extracted? I have a particular reason I need to zip it having to do with my merchant software delivery on my store (when they try to purchase the video, and download it, if it is in .mpg format windows media player automatically tries to download it instead of save it.”

    thanks!

Zip is a lossless data compression so there will be no change in the quality of the file. But the file will not get any smaller because it is already compressed.
