    Hi,

    I know this is not a Avid question, but I know that you guys knows a lot about this.

    I have a z820 with Avid, AE and Resolve.
    I have a Q4000 for GUI in Resolve ans Avid, and a GTX 690 for GPU.
    Output through a 3D Extreme.

    Everything works fine but Im having some real issues with the QT7 player.
    It is very slow, it takes a while to open and it is lagging. When opening QT it is transparent until I push the play button.
    It even happens on regular h264 files that plays nicely in windows media player.
    It doesnt matter if I play the file from the raid or from internal disks.

    Any idea?

    Try it from a different user ID on the same system. If the behavior is the same, try clearing its preferences, re-installing it.

    For the record, QT is very slow on Windows regardless of how fast the system is.
