  Z7U / MRC1 / FCP-X Workflow

  Well, I updated a hand-full of MacPros to FCP-X so my students could work toward the new Associate Certification test only to find it doesn’t seem to be compatible with my HDV camera, the Sony HVR-Z7U.

  I’m not posting this without doing my homework, but I haven’t found a solution from Apple or here at the COW. I have followed an update I found from Apple that included installing XDCAM Drive Software & a Transfer app but no joy. Also, my QT codecs appear to be up-to-date.

  I would love for someone to flame me for not looking far enough – as long as they point me toward the solution!

  What am I missing?
