    Hello!

I have a scene where I need to have particles orbit around planet earth. Planet Earth is made in element 3D. I’ve create my sphere of particles in Particular and I’m trying to find a way to mate or crop out all the particles that would go behind planet Earth. Something similar to CC sphere’s ‘Render Outside’ option.

    Thanks!

i think theres an option to cull particles with a min and max distance, might do the trick. I dont have particular here, but i think the setting is in the render tab

Particular also has an Obscuring Layer pulldown in the visibility settings. I don’t think it would work exactly with Element since it’s in it’s own plugin 3D space. But you could make a 3D solid to mimic your Earth, turn it off and use that as the obscuring layer.
