Z axis move through Word Cloud

January 13, 2016 at 6:55 pmI have a word cloud image that’s a single layer PNG file. I thought about setting it up in AE with each word in a layer so I could move them into different z positions and do a camera push through.
Do I need to break the words up in individual layers in Photoshop first? Or am I overthinking it, and there’s a simpler way to do it in AE?
System:
Dell Precision T7600 (x2)
Win 7 64-bit
32GB RAM
Adobe CC 2014 (as of 7/2015)
256GB SSD system drive
4 internal media drives RAID 5
Typically cutting short form from HD MP4 and P2 MXF. -

January 13, 2016 at 7:36 pmIt looks as if this was done in Wordle – if so, you should have the ability to save the output as a PDF, in which case you can bring it in to AE looking fine.

January 13, 2016 at 8:54 pmQuite right, Joseph. It is Wordle.
Originally I was simply going to use it as a static image. The the “What if I. . .” thoughts hit, and I made more work for myself.
I just typed the layers in AE. Easy as pie. I was completely overthinking it.
