If I wanted to switch an image to YUV and then replace the Y or lightness channel of the YUV with the blue channel of the RGB, and then switch back to RGB, how would I go about that in AE? I used Channel Combiner to shift to YUV but at that point I have no blue channel left to copy anywhere. Any ideas?

    Thanks

One way to do this is to dupe the layer and hide it. Now add the effects in this order:

Channel Combiner – RGB -> YUV
Set Channels – Source layer 1=”Your duped layer”
    – Set Red to Source 1’s – Blue
Channel Combiner – YUV -> RGB
