So, I’ve just made a youtube channel banner for my friend, and in photoshop this image looks sweet and really clean, bright and colourful. When I upload it onto youtube, suddenly, the image degrades massively and colour becomes far less vibrant.. I don’t know whether it is how I’m saving it (just save as, JPEG (Max.)) or youtube! Please help me! D:

    Couple things:

    1. Who is doing the resize on the image, you or YouTube? Are you providing the image at the exact size YouTube requires? You’ll have a lot more control if you provide the final size rather than letting their system do it.

    2. Your thin diagonal line pattern, when reduced, is going to smear together and essentially “gray out” all your colors. That’s why everything looks washed out. Try turning off the lines and see what happens to your colors.

It is easier to destroy than to create.
    More fun, too.

I re-sized to the youtube rec. size: 2560 x 1440 pixels.. I changed the background to a solid dark grey instead of the pattern.. Almost no difference..
