yikes… can I relink multicam clips?
I foolishly deleted a project I hadn’t quite finished.
I have a copy of the project, but not the event.
I recreated the event, and relinked everything, (whew) except the multicam clips.
They sit in my timeline as empty multicam clips. They don’t show up as offline with the red box with the warning triangle. I can’t open them in timeline view to try to reconnect the clips inside. I’m puzzled.
Where do multicam clips live? It seems like they live in the Event browser, but I blew that up.
They are living in my timeline, but they are empty. I can see all of my edits, but they aren’t connected to the media.Any clues on how to relink without going back and starting from scratch?

and strangely enough, the empty multicam clips that are in my timeline, don’t show up in the timeline index. It’s as if they don’t exist.

Don’t know the answer how to fix it, but I just read on the XtoPro website that multicam clips indeed only live in the event. The project doesn’t contain any information about the content of a multicam clip.
XtoPro for instance needs the XML’s from the events as well to correctly process multicam clips.Guess this will not make you happy…
