    Hi,

I’m working in 10bit PAL colour space in Premiere. Everything was fine until I used quicktime BM 8bit file. The file plays fine otherwise but whenever I re-render, the rendered portions show very obvious gamma increase.

Just for test i saved my original file as BM 8bit & 10bit .avi and they both show increased gamma. I also tried new 8bit project and same problem, so I guess it’s not about the bit space it has to be some incompatibility between quicktime/blackmagic/premiere. Does this mean Blackmagic is not compatible with it’s own codec? or is it some sort of conversion issue??

I would appreciate some quick help, as most of my footage is in quicktime 8bit BM codec (approx 200+ shots) and tweaking every shot is not possible, unless and until i force render everything then reduce gamma then… well too much hassel and it will kill the workflow.

Thanx for your time in advance.
    vB
