Yet Another “Error Compiling Movie” — Matrox Axio LE
I’m not even trying to export, just render the work area. I get “Error comiling movie. Unknown error.” I’m using the Matrox Axio LE card. Do I need to contact Matrox for this?

Maybe, but I’d sure try the Matrox Editing Cow Forum and Matrox’s company forum first.

This problem is not exclusive to Matrox. Check you haven’t got any corrupt graphic files in the render area or images with the wrong color space/mode. Use Photoshop to check this. Try trimming the shot if it is video a few frames either way. PPro doesn’t like rendering on the first or last captured frame of a clip sometimes.
