[Atari Norris] “the in 1080i24p, but not even in the new FCP 6 Studio 2 is there an option to import in 1080i24p.”

The JVC GY-HD110U records native 1280×720 progressive, otherwise know as 720p.

    2 things

First the JVC cameras all record 720p not 1080i, it can output but not record 1080.

and look again there is a setting for HDV 1080 24p in my FCS2 (the time base needs to be 23.98 not 24.0)

And I thought my earlier suggestion for you to read the manual (also known as RTFM) *would* help you. 🙂 Now I’m thinking you need more basic help than even that. The i in 1080i means interlaced. The p in 24p means progressive. It’s either one or the other, not both.
I think what you need is a basic video book, some video 101 book.
