    Hello friends !

I do have some XVID compressed videos I would like to load into AE. But I get the error : no such avi compressor….

But I do have installed the XVID codec..

Is there any chance to load the videos into AE ?

Thx a lot for every little help !

I wouldn’t recommend loading anything compressed to that extent into AE. XVid is a delivery codec, for playback only, and AE prefers to import files with no compression, intermediate codecs with light or lossless compression (e.g. photo-JPEG or 8-bit uncompressed) or editing/acquisition codecs such as DV.

I recommend you use an app that will accept the XVid movie and convert it to something like uncompressed AVI or something like the codecs mentioned.

    My 2 cents. 🙂

Yes, I’d Bring it into Virtualdub. Output with Huffyuv with PCM audio or Uncompressed with PCM audio.
