I’m having major issues with my Xserve in reguards to realtime playback. In a nut shell, it won’t. And if it does, the audio and video so far apart, it hard to edit. When I export the finished video as a QT, and improt it back into FC2, it plays fine. However I’ve noticed any video that I have effected with color correction or speed has the most amount of strobed playback. Any thoughts? Also, when I goto my RAID admin utility, it tries to connect to the RAID, but never can connect. I am hooked up via fiber so I don’t know if I need an IP or if I should remove the system and then ad new. I’m fearul of not being able to get the syatem back. The drives show up on the desktop now, but with no management abilities. HELP!

Yes you can delete the RAID from RAID admin and then find it again.
Double check where your scratch disks are set to and also run a speed test on the RAID.

Do I need an IP? Because the profile thats there has one. Where should my scratch disk be? Right now it’s on the RAID.

Yes it should be on the RAID, worth checking as If you power up the Mac without the raid on, it will give you a option o reset the scratch disks

Have you run a speed test?
