I used to be able to group clips, put that on the timeline, hit quad split and the four clips appear in source monitor. Then assign M1, M2, M3 and M4 to keys.

Then hit play and when ever I hit an “Mx” (M1,M2…) key, an edit would appear and the record side would reflect the change. The video would keep playing as well.

Now, it doesn’t work. What has changed and how can I get it to work again???

    PLEASE HELP!

I just did this on a AXP 5.2 machine Friday. Here’s my workflow (your milage may vary…)

    -Group the clips
-Load the grouped clips into the source monitor
-Lay down the first audio edit
-Go to Special and select Group Clip Mode
-The quad split shows up, activating your M1, etc. keys
    -Edit to your hearts content

    HTH,
    Jon

What part is not working? The quad split? If you have more than 1 video track, make sure you enable the one with the group in it and disable the others.
