Were the projects you cannot hear created on a system WITH a Mojo? That seems to be the reason that has ever happened to me. Do you have a Mojo available to you?

I have a mojo but it’s with a MC system most of the time.
This particular project was not created with a mojo. The project I did before this one.. it worked some of the time but not all.
Out of the Avid I can hear quicktime videos play and web site noises but as soon as I open the Avid it just beeps when I hit play and no sound. The meters are jumping but no sound.

I wonder If I have a conflict with another application.

Can you identify a pattern to those where it works and those where it doesn’t? Can you check your audio settings on the projects and make sure they are not set for using outboard gear like Mojo, Digi 002, etc.?

For the life of me I cannot identify a pattern. The mojo works like expected. It sends audio to speakers. The computer audio works outside Avid even with the Avid program open I can hear computer sounds and music. As soon as I hit play on the timeline the computer beeps and no sound. I’ve tried multiple projects with different audio sources…nothing. When it was working it would only work after I played in the windows control panel with Sounds and Audio control panel. It’s set to Laptop stereo speakers, I’ve tried Laptop mono speakers.

Once it worked after I unpluged a firewire cable but I have been unable to repeat this with or without the firewire cable.

I am not a PC person but the Mac sound works fine with or without the mojo. Without the mojo it goes right to the computer speakers but the PC wont do that.

The hardware settings seem to change automatically to mojo when it is connected and back to 1394 when disconnected. The audio project settings for hardware cannot be changed manually.

    Still stumped.
