We have a Decklink HD Pro 4:4:4 on a windows XP system. Everything was up and running for a few days and now we lost deck communication with Preimere Pro. Decklink Deck Control will control the deck but it shows no com under the timecode and will not enter I/O points or get clip.

We have tested with other working 9 pin cables.
Uninstalled the drivers and Preimere, clean installed the drivers and software. The system is on house sync.

Has anyone run in to an issue with deck control and XP. We have worked with a large number of uncompressed BM and AJA systems, but this is our 1st on XP that is used for capture.

    Thanks in advance-

    Phil

    Hi Phil,

Are you aware of any hardware or software changes make to your computer and connected equipment which happened in between the time that Premiere Pro was able to control the deck and then lost communication?

Are you still using a project that was working with device control or are you now working with a new project which migh have different settings?

No hardware or software changes. We were up and running. Did a capture. 30 min later someone put in a new tape to log. Opened the capture window and it was done. (we have tried many tapes and decks since) I have tried the same project as well as new projects. We have shuttle commands but no tc or ‘deck com’

    We have tried new cable.

Thanks for your help. We need to get to the bottom of this asap.
