Hi there, I’ve been a long-time peruser of the COW, so I have a question.
I have a project where I need to replace the phone numbers and names on 2 spots 50+ times with 50+ names. I figured there’s got to be an easy way to automate the process using a ‘mail merge’ style system. I’ve found the simple way of exporting the XML and finding the dummy phone number and replacing it with the new one, but I’d like to automate this process even further, creating a new XML file for each of the new sequences and then importing them all back into FCP. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!

There was a third party tool called Traffic which did this. I don’t think its still around.

I once did something like this for Motion, still have it laying around.
Can brush it up and customize it to need, but if it’s only this, any text editor will do the trick.
