Xml translation was aborted due to critical error
I’ve been editing a two hour seminar in FCP5. We had three cameras and a scan converter. I digitzed everythin set-up my multi clips and edited away. Everything was working great to that point. I got done with my first cut of this monster and wanted to do some sweeting in Soundtrack Pro. I control clicked on my sequence and scrolled to send to multi-track session and then all the wheels fall off. I get the error message, “xml translation was aborted due to critcal error”. Any ideas what this means? Any work arounds??

I had this problem too. The only way to fix it was to match frame all the multi clip audio and replace it with the original non-multiclip clips. It seems the xml export chokes on multiclip audio, even if you collapse the multiclip.

You have to be kidding me?!!?!?! It’s a two hour show with lots of cuts, damm nice bug APPLE this needs to be fixed.
Anyone else have a different solution??
