This was covered a couple of years ago but wondering if it has changed at all. Know the FCPX and FCP7 xml are two different beasts… any new ways to go between M100 and FCPX these days? Heard something about using Resolve as a means to do it.
    Thanks!

    Jack,

Unfortunately, directly Media 100 will not be able to export FCPX-based XML files; especially as Final Cut Pro X seems to have changed its XML structure at some point in the past couple of years.

As you said, however, if there is a program that can import FCP7 XML’s and export the current version of FCPX XML’s, you will need to do this. Sorry, however, that I am not aware of any programs that I can recommend to do this.

    Thanks,

    Jon

Just noticed this morning that there’s a new version of Automatic Duck where you can go from FCPX to AE. Haven’t tried it yet but that may be another “in between” option.
