I know people are successfully doing this and I believe I used to.

I have a sequence with just simple text. I even created a sequence with one text clip and turned it diagonally to test to see if it’s the same. When imported XML into Premiere, the text is straight with a different font and is up in the upper left corner.

How can I test to see if it’s Premiere issue or FCP? I just recently re-intalled Abobe suite, but not Final Cut. I did trash Final Cut Pro preferences.

What can I do to fix this. I can’t afford Automatic Duck.

    Thanks.

My testing of importing a really simple documentary with just simple graphics (lower thirds, rolling credits) and two camera cuts and dissolves, was a joke. I still had to redo most of the titles, and many of the cuts were not correct in the Adobe side. The graphics and text were more of an issue than the video, to be clear.

I don’t know what Adobe beta tested this feature on, but from my real world tests, is useless. I assume someone out there has made it work for them, but if you can’t do something simple that was created inside the last professional version of FCP, then what good is it?

I’m keeping FCP on my Mac Pro so I can edit old videos, or at least update them. Luckily, Premiere for me is overall a great improvement to my workflow, but this was not one of the reasons why.
