Strangely, I’ve hit this same problem from two different places in two days!

I’m using Adobe Creative Suite Master Collection, for what it’s worth.

First: Importing projects from Final Cut Pro as part of my transitioning to Premiere. I have sequences — nothing complicated, simply clips and the occasional text overly — that won’t import as XML files. I get the error, “No Sequence Preview Preset file or codec could be associated with this sequence type.” Most of the clips are ProRes HQ and ProRes.

Then, working with a new project and Pluraleyes: I created a ProRes LQ sequence, dragged all my ProRes clips into the sequence, and exported the file as XML. Then pluraleyes’ed it, and attempted to reimport. Same error.

So I backtracked, went back to my H264 files (it was a 7D shoot), and made an h264 sequence, thinking it might be a ProRes Problem. I exported, imported, same error.

Then, I tried using a one of premiere’s standard DVCPROHD sequences, and dragged my h264 files into the sequence, exported, imported, same error.

I even tried doing all these steps without going to plural eyes. I just exported the project, and imported it immediately without touching it.

    What am I missing?

Thanks so much for any help.

    Cheers,
    Aemilia
