XML from previous log and transfer
I have an issue. I was asked to edit a project that was shot by other people on the HVX200 and stored to an external hard drive. They went through all of their footage and logged and transferred it. They stored the log as an XML file.
Now, the hard drive I have contains the ORIGINAL footage shot (mxf files) and I have just finished transferring all of the footage in FCP. Now, when I try to open the XML document, it can’t find the footage it is trying to reference. All of the .mov files are on the drive, the XML document just doesn’t know how to find the in and out points within these files. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can efficiently make it recognize these files and their in and out points? I have a ton of footage…

You need the original footage QT imports in order for the XML to link to the media.
