XML export is Zero bytes. Any ideas?
Folks, I am trying to get an XML out of FCP X to use in X2Pro for sound work. The exported XML is zero bytes. I tried moving the project to another computer – same results.
Any ideas. In all versions of FCP X up to this point and in using X2Pro I’ve never encountered this happening.
FCP X 10.0.9
Mac OS 10.8.7Tangier

I hate to ask the obvious, but you do have the project selected when you export, right?

Lol – yes I have the project selected. I’ve tried from the storyline and the project list view.

This happened to me recently. Sorry for the hazy answer, but I think it had to do with a bad effect plugin or a corrupt clip. Try duping the proj and remove all effects (if any) and give it a try.
