  XML applies multiple copies of a filter

  A strange piece of FCP behaviour…

  I’m importing an XML file which contains a bunch of text captions, which I put an Outer Glow effect on to make them stand out a little.

  Each caption has 1 Outer Glow effect and that’s all, and looking at the XML itself, there’s one Outer Glow effect defined for each caption.

  But when I import the XML into Final Cut, every caption is getting TEN copies of the Outer Glow effect, giving it a stupid amount of glow and making it render very slowly.

  Can anyone guess why this would be happening?
