    Hello all

recently took over an in house video production position at a college in Cleveland and stored amongst the many tripods and vhsc cameras was an XL1

I would like to know if there are still xlr adapters for this camera either made by Canon or a third party (like beachtek)

    thanks for any help

    take care

    Todd,
I just realized how much posting you’ve been doing lately!
Make sure you give back what you take from the ‘cow’

The connectors didn’t change for the XL1 to the XL2 as far as the mini plug interface.
So any of the beachtek’s should work.

The 2 trade offs for beachtek or Canon’s MA 100/200- is on the Canon MA 200 you can configure it so you are recording an input from a mic or line on the adapter AND still choose one channel for the shotgun mic in the front. (it’s trick, but do-able)
WIth the beachtek, you can’t get the shotgun signal if you’re using the box. But the box is easier to use.

    Good Luck,
