  XL2 Import problem

  OK, soI’m attaching the XL2 via FW to the mac and during import I hear no audio which is annoying, but the entire clip does play. I stop. I see the clip in the upper left, FCP window but it’s only about 12 seconds of the whole clip which a 4- 5 minutes long. I see handles. They don’t stretch. I can sometimes hear the last few seconds but can’t see the entire clip and win I pull it to the time line I still don’t get the entire clip.

  Oh and the info panel says the cut is only 18 seconds long, which is about right for what it captured, but why did it stop and why didn’t it tell me?

  Is there a secret handshake?
